The secret to soft waves
Most people who can't get this look to come out the way they want are using the wrong tools. Begin with a curl-enhancing combo of shampoo and conditioner, then follow with a similar styler. When hair is completely dry, wrap small sections around a beveled edge flat iron or the barrel of a curling iron. Now for the secret: don't clamp the tool around the hair and roll up! Instead, hold it at an angle and wrap the hair around the tool–away from your face–like the swirls of a candy cane.
Rethink your hair spray
